PRESS STATEMENT
Due to the controlling proceedings taking place in the offices of Verity Development, I would like to state that the activity of the company managed by me is conducted in compliance with the provisions of the Polish law. Its financing sources come from the Shamil Bank as well as independent foreign investors whose main interest lies in development of the real estate market in Poland. Shamil Bank is a finance institution subject to control of independent international audit companies (inter alia PricewaterCoopers), which have confirmed reliability of the Bank on numerous occasions.
In our understanding, the potential reasons for the increased interest of the Polish government institutions in the activity of Verity Development Sp. z o.o. derive from the scale of investment projects initiated by the company within a short time span (since 2005 the company has invested approx. 105 million Euro on the Polish market), as well as its share of a foreign capital.
Verity Development has already been subject to several inspections undertaken by the government institutions which proved that there are no irregularities in the company’s activity. We are positive that also this control will have the similar effect.
I would like to also state that the control will not affect our cooperation and obligations toward our Clients and Contractors and the situation of the company remains stable.
