Hans Kollhoff`s lecture ‘Architecture between tradition and globalization’ – Museum of Japanese Art and Technology “Manggha”
On Friday 28th March 2008 Professor Hans Kollhoff gave his lecture during an exposition in the Museum of Japanese Art technology “Manggha”, entitled ‘Architecture between tradition and globalization’ organized by Verity Development and GD&K Group. All seats were taken by about 400 people
Hans Kollhoff is the author of the revitalization and extension design concept of the highest building in Krakow - TreiMorfa Tower, which is the principle project of Verity Development and GD&K Group in this region.
From 1968 to 1975 Hans Kollhoff studied architecture at the University of Karlsruhe and attended Egon Eiermann`s classes, one of Germany’s most prominent architects in the second half of the 20th century. Hand Kollhoff has offices in Berlin, Rotterdam and Rotkreuz in Switzerland. Since 1990 he has worked as a Professor of Architecture and Construction at the ETH in Zürich. He has also had several guest-professorships and lecture tours, both at home and abroad. His projects as architect, in Germany and the rest of Europe, have been primarily within office-, business- and residential construction. Hans Kollhoff's architecture is characterized by a classical building-style and the use of solid, traditional materials, such as stone and brick.
